Orizon Training & Consultancy Services ("Orizon") is headed by our Managing Director, Mr Philip Lee, who is a veteran adult educator, trainer, course developer and an experienced business & immigration advisor.
Philip is a Ministry Approved Trainer who excels in establishing good rapport with his trainees. Based on feedback, most trainees find him very approachable, patient, knowledgeable and professional in his delivery and classroom facilitation skills keeping them motivated and inspired. With his vast experience in civil service and knowledge in various government legislations & regulations, Philip is known for able to delight his trainees by sharing real-life illustrations and examples to help his trainees to have a better understanding of the course content in his lesson. Philip is also the originator & developer of G.R.I.D (a self-improvement tool to enhance personal effectiveness).
Before joining the training & consultancy industries, Philip has dedicated 14 years in Civil Service serving as a Senior Officer among various Ministries/Departments.
He began his career in Civil Service as a Ministry of Education (MOE) teacher. Throughout his 14 years of service, he has been posted to the various Ministries and Departments:
Ø Ministry of Education (MOE);
Ø MOF / Customs & Excise Department;
Ø Ministry of Home Affair / Immigration & Checkpoint Authority; and
Ø Council for Private Education.
With each posting, Philip was entrusted with several challenging projects/duties. Consequently, Philip has become a specialist/expertise in several areas:
Ø Strategic Planning & Research (Example, Immigration Rules & Policies);
Ø Data administration & Data Analysis;
Ø Organisation planning and development;
Ø Enforcement/Investigation;
Ø Operational & safety inspection and audit;
Ø SOPs & curriculum development; and
Ø Training.
As an ex-senior civil servant, current Approved Trainer for CEI (click on the CEI link below for legislation coverage for CEI) and with continuous effort in taking up upgrading courses, Philip is well-versed in the following Government Legislations and Regulations:-

Besides managing Orizon, Philip is also currently the Principal/Training Director, as well as a Ministry Approved Trainer, of an Approved Training Provider (GMCS) for Certificate of Employment Intermediaries (CEI), which is a mandatory course for ALL Employment/Recruitment Agencies Personnel in Singapore.

Philip holds a Degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a Specialist Diploma in Accounting and Finance (SDAF) from Temasek Polytechnic, Diploma in Adult & Continuing Education (DACE) from Singapore Polytechnic, Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA – Full Certification), WSQ Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health and Public Law Examinations. He also holds a Private Investigator, WSQ Safety Coordinator and ISO Lead Auditor Certifications.
Under his leadership, Orizon’s Consultant Team comprises of a team of professionals. Some are also ex-Senior Civil Servants while other consultants are either appointment holders or experts in their respective industries ranging from the Recruitment Industry, Workplace Safety Industry to Business Development, Training and Business consultancy industries.
